Rare Early 1950's 'Emilio' Skirt. Emilio Pucci opened his Capri location in 1949. At that time, he used his first name, Emilio; the aristocracy considered it shameful to associate the family name with trade - no matter how exclusive! The circlular design of this rainbow skirt is one of elegant simplicity. The cotton fabric has been screen printed in rainbow colours. The skirt is a full circle cut from a single piece of fabric; it has no seams. The waistband is sheared for elasticity and there is a short metal zip. The colours are just fabulous.
